How should an operator review an exit signal?
Label the device and pause point before the event, then record the event type, date, time window, and relevant operating changes. During the event, the designated owner should check that the point remains safe and available; safety staff retain authority to suspend the prompt or redirect people at any time.
Afterward, compare the configured time and location context with the venue's own observations of signage, stewarding, transport information, accessibility, facilities, and dispersal conditions. A lower or higher signal can tell the team where to look, but it cannot establish the reason for a crowd condition or predict what the next event will require.
