ThumbsUp helps an authorized team review a configured location and time signal. The setup still needs a site test for distance, lighting, reach, accessibility, privacy, and safe use.
Authorized managers can create or change the short question shown on assigned feedback devices. After Question Mode is enabled on those devices, customers answer the active question with a supported hand gesture—for example, “How good was the cleaning service?”—so each location can collect a signal about the service moment it wants to improve.
A campus-wide score can hide the service moment that needs attention. A more useful starting point is a clearly owned interaction: a student completing a registrar or advising visit, collecting a meal, asking for help at a library desk or leaving a study area. Each point can have its own question and operational owner.
ThumbsUp is designed for a short, in-the-moment signal at a physical location. It is not a course-evaluation tool, a replacement for institution-wide student surveys or a way to infer the cause of a result. Keep academic outcomes, sensitive case details and formal complaints in the institution's established processes.
Begin with the decision the team wants to make. If the question is whether a handoff felt clear, place the feedback point after the handoff rather than at the entrance. If the question is about a shared space, place it at the natural exit from that space and identify the zone separately from staffed service desks.
Authorized managers can review results by time, day, device, location, historical patterns and configured employee or shift context. Those views help a team form a reviewable question. The next step is to compare the signal with queue observations, schedules, service changes, equipment issues or other local evidence instead of treating the score as a diagnosis.

Use results to identify differences between service points and recurring patterns that merit investigation. A low result may prompt a team to inspect queue length, signage, staffing coverage, layout, equipment, hours or a handoff. It does not, by itself, establish why the experience happened or prove that an individual caused it.
Use interviews, established student surveys, usage information, operational records and outcome measures when the question requires richer context or a broader institutional view. A touchless point is most useful as one small, timely signal inside that wider improvement cycle.
A practical rollout can begin with one student-services location, one dining unit or one library zone where the owner already has a clear improvement question. Document the placement, the question, the operating context and the review cadence before expanding to more devices.
