Practical customer feedback guide
Feedback after credit union loan appointments
A loan appointment has a clear feedback moment after the consultation ends. ThumbsUp lets a member give a supported gesture toward a camera-equipped Android tablet outside the private financial discussion, while authorized managers review patterns by time, day, device, location, and configured context.
For Lending leaders, branch operations managers, and credit union member-experience teams.
Decision frame
Start with one physical service moment.
ThumbsUp helps an authorized team review a configured location and time signal. The setup still needs a site test for distance, lighting, reach, accessibility, privacy, and safe use.
Ask the question that matters to your team
Authorized managers can create or change the short question shown on assigned feedback devices. After Question Mode is enabled on those devices, customers answer the active question with a supported hand gesture—for example, “How good was the cleaning service?”—so each location can collect a signal about the service moment it wants to improve.
Where should feedback sit in a loan appointment journey?
Place the tablet after the appointment has concluded and the member is leaving the consultation area. The feedback point should not be part of document review, identity verification, rate discussion, or any other private financial conversation.
The goal is to capture the member's immediate experience of the appointment flow: welcome, clarity of next steps, handoff, and departure. It is not a replacement for the lending record and should not ask the member to enter account, income, or application details.
- Keep the feedback point outside the private meeting or document-signing area.
- Define whether the placement covers the whole appointment or the final handoff.
- Give lending and branch managers a shared review question before rollout.
What can a lending team investigate?
Review patterns alongside the appointment process the credit union already manages. A recurring signal can prompt questions about waiting before the meeting, clarity of next steps, the transition between lender and member-service staff, or the physical flow out of the consultation area.
Do not infer that a score reflects loan approval, pricing, underwriting, or a particular employee's intent. The signal is about the experienced service moment and should be investigated with the relevant operational context.
| Appointment moment | Useful operational question |
|---|---|
| Arrival and wait | Was the member directed clearly and did the appointment start as expected? |
| Consultation close | Were next steps and ownership clear before the member left? |
| Handoff | Did the transition to another branch or service team create friction? |
| Departure | Is the tablet placed where a member can respond without returning to a private area? |
Illustrative loan-appointment workflow
Illustrative example: a credit union places a feedback tablet near the exit from its lending consultation rooms. The lending manager reviews the pattern by appointment area and time of day, then asks branch staff to walk through the arrival-to-departure handoff during a period with a recurring signal. The team changes one handoff step and keeps the placement stable while reviewing what happens next.
The example does not assume that the signal identifies a lending outcome or a root cause. It gives the team a consistent point from which to investigate the member journey.
How does this differ from general member-service feedback?
Routine member service often ends at a teller or service desk. A loan appointment includes a scheduled meeting, a longer handoff, and a need to keep financial discussions private. Those differences justify a separate placement decision and review workflow.
If the credit union wants to compare branches, keep the appointment definition and feedback placement consistent before interpreting differences across locations.
Questions operators ask
Feedback after credit union loan appointments questions, answered clearly.
Does ThumbsUp collect loan or account details?
No. The workflow is a quick gesture toward a camera-equipped Android tablet, not a form for entering loan, account, income, or application information. Keep the device outside the private financial discussion.
Can feedback tell us whether a loan decision was correct?
No. It reflects a member's experienced service moment and can point to a process to investigate. It does not evaluate underwriting, pricing, approval, or the correctness of a financial decision.
Should the feedback point be inside the lending office?
Usually place it after the appointment, on the departure path and outside document review or other private activity. The exact location should fit the branch layout and member flow.
Plan the right feedback point with ThumbsUp.
Bring the service journey, site constraints, and reporting questions. The contact form can help define what a responsible pilot should test before launch.
